Our Staff
Director Jo Lawrence opened the nursery in 2008 from redundant farm buildings and has extensive childcare experience and knowledge working in all sectors of child care since 1991, she has 2 grown up children of her own and 2 grandchildren. Jo is passionate about providing a team of staff with the same ethos as herself.
Jo and her team feel that parents nowadays have to juggle a lot of plates! They need to be safe in the knowledge that their child is loved, cared for and feel comfortable in their surroundings. We embrace the uniqueness of each and every child and help them to learn at their own pace, with activities to encourage and support their learning. Our aim is that each child leaves our nursery at the end of their time with us as happy, inquisitive, confident individuals.
We are great believers that children learn from a more natural play based environment with lots of outdoor play incorporating lots of water, mud, minibeasts, tree climbing, pond dipping and generally having fun and getting wet and muddy.
Through our Forest School and outdoor approach, we offer a unique, natural and nurturing environment, where children take risks, develop confidence, independence and resilience.
Children attending our unique setting will feel loved and valued as individuals.
